Overview

This role is responsible for working in conjunction with group leadership in the planning, execution, and maintenance of day-to-day processes pertinent to case management and operational aspects of the group. This driven individual will also support the group in all aspects of discovery and trial preparation that is considered billable time.

Responsibilities

FUNCTIONS OF JOB:

 

Case Management/Operations:

  • Partner with attorneys to develop and execute effective case management practices thatensure client expectations are continually met and exceeded.
  • Utilize subject matter expertise to provide estimates, schedules and regular status reports for respective cases.
  • Utilize critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities to formulate cost-effective solutions for time sensitive matters
  • Coordinate effective workflow processing, staffing support, and attorney utilization efforts across the group.
  • Aid in the implementation of effective process improvement initiatives in relation to case management and efficiency of scale.

Legal Support:

  • Effectively partner with attorneys on case planning, development and management.
  • Review and organize all records, documents and deposition testimony to ensure completeness of all file materials
  • Assist with preparation of legal briefs and other documents as required.
  • Effectively monitor deadlines and due dates, including organization and tracking of courtfilings, correspondence, deposition transcripts and exhibits, document collections and expert materials as appropriate.
  • Assist with filings as necessary

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Ability to multi-task and work in an extremely fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Expert proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to establish good working relationships across departments 
  • trong attention to detail and client service skills.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-Approved institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a professional services environment
