Overview

The Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Systems Administrator provides technical leadership for databases, system integrations, and financial applications across the firm.

 

The Senior Financial Systems Administrator should have subject matter expertise with the Aderant Expert suite and provide overall accounting systems integration support including design and maintenance of Aderant Drive Portals as well as custom reports from Aderant Expert system.

 

The role will involve creating custom inquiries and reports, testing and implementing customizations, end-user support and working as a liaison with colleagues in the IT department and other internal business partners.

 

Specific projects and responsibilities include maintaining and customizing financial systems and legal business applications, developing inquiries and reports as needed, customizing financial systems, overseeing data feeds in and out of Aderant, iManage, Chrome River and other systems, testing new customizations, and providing user support.

Responsibilities

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Provide support for various software and hardware environments, operating system environment(s), equipment platforms, and legal support software.
  • Perform troubleshooting steps to help resolve service incidents.
  • Capability to work successfully with limited supervision in an environment of multiple projects and priorities.
  • Collaborate and follow direction from other IT professionals.
  • Follow firm's IT guidelines; assist others in understanding and following guidelines as appropriate.
  • Track and document incidents and service requests via the firm’s service desk software.
  • Conduct online instructor-led training sessions.
  • Provide feedback on training program content and corresponding support documentation.
  • Assist with the development of instructional content.
  • Participate in application testing.
  • Handle escalated technical issues.
  • Develop and implement best practices for help desk support.
  • Maintain accurate records of call center activities and performance metrics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to improve help desk operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Advanced Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and T-SQL skill is a must
  • Experience with Aderant Expert Suite is a must
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft stack: Active Directory, Server operating systems, Group Policy, file and network security, etc.
  • SSRS, SSIS and VBA knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of Aderant security setup
  • Understanding of development and programming principles
  • Application architecture, design and error trapping
  • Self-starter who can work with little supervision, be extremely organized and very detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize incoming work to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and customer service approach at all times
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with large firm financial systems such as Aderant Expert or Elite as well as familiarity with client portal development such as HighQ.
  • Ability to execute under pressure and within tight timelines while juggling multiple projects.
  • A self-starter with enthusiasm, who can work independently with minimal oversight on certain projects but who is also a team player and can support projects when needed.
  • College degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience.
