Overview

The Dallas, TX office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an IT Coordinator/Cyber Security Analyst. The IT Coordinator is responsible for all local office IT responsibilities, as well as assisting in security objectives. Additionally, this position will perform IT security analysis and assessments in accordance with established procedures and protocols.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Configure and install new or replacement PCs, smartphones, printers, video conference units, telephones, and other technology tools.
  • Support various software and hardware environments, operating system environment(s), equipment platforms, and legal support software.
  • Perform troubleshooting steps to help resolve service incidents.
  • Track and document incidents and service requests via the firm’s service desk software.
  • Follow the firm’s IT guidelines; assist others in understanding and following guidelines as appropriate.
  • Assist in managing the firm’s security solutions (e.g., Antivirus software, Encryption, MFA, SIEM...)
  • Work closely with the security team for the day-to-day monitoring of the environment, use and maintenance of security tools and consoles, and respond to customer issues and requests.
  • Participate in internal risk assessments.
  • Assist in incident response for any breaches, intrusions, or theft.
  • Assist firm personnel, other IT professionals, and applicable clients in requesting security variances and implementation of subsequent configuration change requests.

The ideal candidate will have five plus (5+) years of IT experience in large, complex organizations and have a working knowledge of network security protocols, hardware, and software; IDS/IPS, Syslog and related technologies; and TCP/IP, computer networking, routing and switching.

 

Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required), preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least one cyber security certification (preferred) earned from an independent accrediting organization like CompTIA, EC Council, GIAC, ISACA, and (ISC)2.
  • An understanding and deep knowledge of information technology trends and issues, including cyber security threats as they relate to the practice of law.
  • Appreciation for and understanding of the complex roles of a legal environment, including the business differences and pressures for a Partner, Associate, Paralegal, Legal Secretary, staff Executives & Management, and other staff personnel.
  • Knowledge of Citrix XenApp, Citrix Access Gateway Appliances, Citrix Netscalers, Citrix Web Interface technologies
  • Knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies including DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects.
  • Keen analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to compile, review, and determine logical conclusions or recommendations based on data and information.
  • Strong communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills, as necessary to communicate and coordinate with peers, other members of IT, and the overall firm customer base.
  • Ability to train and guide others and to conduct one-on-one training.
  • Ability to work successfully with limited supervision in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressure.
  • Ability to lift computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
